SHAWNEE, OK—SEPTEMBER 2, 2019—Second-crop sire Reagal Eagle SI 105 got his first stakes winner on Sunday (Sep 1) when Survivour won the $23,275 Jimenez Tile-GM Racing Stakes at Arizona Downs.
Under capable hands of jockey Emilio Tapia, Survivour completed the 400 yards in :19.905 seconds, equaling a 107-speed index into a 12 mph headwind. It was the second win in five starts for the son of Reagal Eagle.
Owned-and-trained by Rigoberto Guillen, Survivour also qualified for the Granite Mountain QH Futurity and the John Deere Turf Paradise Juvenile Challenge earlier this year. He picked up $12,801 today to push earnings mark to $16,174. By By JJ Limited Partnership bred the sorrel colt in New Mexico from the Strait To The Bank mare Banking Disco.
From a limited number of starters in two crops to reach racing age, Reagal Eagle has sired one stakes winner and two stakes-placed stakes. He is currently the #10 Leading Second-Crop Sire of Money Earners for 2019 with only 18 starters.
His top performers include Survivour SI 107 (2 wins at 2, 2019, $16,174, Jimenez Tile-GM Racing Stakes ), Six Packin Eagle SI 90 ($13,660 to 3 2019, 3rd All American Congress Futurity), Reagal Eagle Revenge SI 95 (winner at 2, 2019, $7,058 3rd Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity), Regal Candy SI 84 (2 wins to 3, 2019 $20,560), etc.
Owned Peterson Stallion Farm LLC, the son of leading sire One Famous Eagle won or placed in six of 10 career starts, earning $467,790. He was second in the All American Futurity(G1) and a finalist in the Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity, Corona Cartel Stakes and West Texas Juvenile Invitational.
Reagal Eagle will stand the 2020 breeding season at Joneson Ranch in Shawnee, Oklahoma. His fee has been set at $1,250. Multiple mares and Oklahoma-Bred mares can breed for $1,000.

Gnarly Girl Wins APHA Claiming Futurity
TULSA, OK—JUNE 24, 2017—Gnarly Girl, a daughter of Quarter Horse sire Duke Kahanamokudrew away Saturday to win the $26,850 APHA Claiming Futurity at Fair Meadows in Tulsa.
The filly who was disqualified for interference in the last of two trials Claiming Futurity trials contested on June 10th returned an easy winner in Saturday's 330 yard final. Ridden to her second career win, by jockey Edwuin Lujan, she completed the task in :17.094 seconds with a 12-mph tailwind.
Trainer Dee Keener saddled the sorrel filly for owners Jay Ross and Steve Wright. Out of the Texas Hero mare Go Texas Girl, the Oklahoma-bred earned $12,083 to nearly double her earnings total to $23,577.
Royal Disturbance was a game second for owners Mark and Lori Dolan. Also trained by Keener, the gray filly is by SF Royal Quick Flash from the Judys Lineage mare Domestic Disturbance. Bred by Steven Wright she earned $6,713.
Coltonfortyfiveloaded, the only horse that was claimed for $5,000 in the June 10th trials, finished three-quarters back in third. It was the first start by the gelded son of The Dashing Hero for new owner Garrett Baker and trainer William Joe David. Also bred by Wright, from the Royal Quick Dash mare Smashed Calamity, Coltonfortyfiveloaded picked up $4,027 for the effort.
Th Begger Lady, Phoebe Dial, Rollin In The Snow, Chelsa Dagger, Dos Sign and Cockeyed Chicken completed the field.

Furr Wheelin Wins Third Straight Race

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 25, 2017—Furr Wheelin stayed perfect on his 2017 Remington Park season, winning his second race in as many starts on Thursday night. The victory in a $7,500-level claiming race also stretched his overall winning streak to three races.
Owned and bred in Oklahoma by Lisa Joneson of Shawnee, Okla. and trained by Luis Villafranco, Furr Wheelin was ridden to victory by Gonzalo Gutierrez. The 4-year-old gelding used a solid start to go right to the lead in the 550-yard race, pulling clear to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 27.273 seconds over the fast track. Dingus Oak was up for second with Little Jo Eagle along for third, 1-1/2 lengths behind the winner.
The winning streak of three races for Furr Wheelin started in November 2016 at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla. when he broke his maiden status. The betting favorite at 8-5 odds, Furr Wheelin paid $5.20 to win, $4 to place and $3.40 to show on Thursday night. Dingus Oak paid $9.80 to place and $6.40 to show. Little Jo Eagle paid $3.80 to show.
Furr Wheelin is by Furrtreeous from the Rare Form mare Runnin With Scissors. A winner of three races from seven career attempts, Furr Wheelin made $7,679 with the latest triumph to run his overall bankroll to $21,180.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Five trials were held March 10th at Remingotn Park to decide the ten-horse field to line up for the Grade 1, $112,000 Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity with Hotwiredotcom posting the top time at 300 yards. Oklahoma-bred Hotwiredotcom finished just a head in front of Dukes Lil Div, a daughter of Duke Kahanamoku. Dukes Lil Diva was foaled by Domestic Diva, a grey overo mare was sired by Dos Poruno.

Sets New Track Record
In Piggin String Trials
TUCSON, AZ—MARCH 4, 2017—Jess Ta Fied, a 5-year-old son of One Sweet Jess, broke the Rillito Park 300-yard track record on Saturday while posting the top qualifying time for the Piggin String Stakes sponsored by Jack Daniels. The eight-fastest qualifiers, from two trial races conducted on Saturday, will return to Rillito Park Saturday, March 18th to vie for the winner's share of a $20,000-est. purse. Ridden by jockey Emilo Tapia, Jess Ta Fied finished a neck in front of Jess Wilson in the game effort to complete the 300-yard course in :15.031 seconds, a 113-speed index, to secure a new track record.
The previous record of :15.040 seconds was set February 13, 2011 by Inkys Fireman. Ron Ronquillo saddled Jess Ta Fied to his fourth career win from 12 starts for owner Cynthia Rodriguez. Bred in Oklahoma by Richard Joneson, from the Pure D Dash mare The Cheetah, Jess Ta Fied has earned nearly $18,000.
The Cheetah who won 5 stakes races and placed in 9 stakes races also produced Fast N Furrious SI 104 ($48,945). The Cheetah is a ¾ sister to Kitty D Ville SI 105 ($108,456) and from the family of Furrtreeous SI 102 ($424,651).

Furrtreeous Gets First Stakes Winner

Q-RACING JOURNAL | JULY 31, 2014 | Sire Furrtreeous got his first stakes winner on Saturday when Cashing Teller won the $171,650 Speedhorse Futurity (G2).
Cashing Teller is a brown gelding who races for Dr. Curtis Smith and Sheila Reed of Wapanucka, Oklahoma. The gelding has won three of four starts with earnings of $85,969. He was bred by Smith out of the Agouti mare Teller Shes Lucky. This is the first foal out of the Grade 1-placed earner of $165,514.
Furrtreeous is a 9-year-old son of the late world champion and world champion-sire Oak Tree Special. Bred in partnership by Vessels Stallion Farm and Richard Joneson, he is now owned in full by Joneson and stands at Joneson Ranch at Shawnee, Oklahoma. Furrtreeous is out of the stakes winning Rare Form mare Beeline Feline, making him a half brother to stakes winner Sophastacat (by First Down Dash, $83,304).
The brown stallion won six of 14 starts with three seconds and two thirds, while earning $424,651. He won the 2007 Speedhorse Gold & Silver Cup Futurity (RG1) and Southwest Juvenile Championship (now a Grade 1). He was also second in the Remington Park Derby (G1) and third in the Heritage Place Futurity (G1).
Furrtreeous has sired 19 winners from 59 starters with earners of more than $400,000.
He was also the sire of the runner-up in the Speedhorse Futurity, as his Play Harder was second by a neck.
